A beautiful trail run in Powell River, on a dead flat 13 kilometre wheelchair accessible trail around the very edge of the lake. It starts and finishes at a fully serviced campground with a full-time caretaker. Where else in coastal BC can you run on 13 kilometres of wide manicured trail around a lake without even a bump? For those wanting to run a shorter distance, there is the Anthony Island 7k — an out & back utilizing the last 3.5k of the full lake trail — again, dead flat. www.pacesetterathletic.club/loonlake/

2018 was the 16th annual Sea Cav Mile. The Sea Cavalcade is not happening in 2019. We hope it will return in 2020, and with it the mile race. The mile was a fast net downhill course to start the Sea Cavalcade parade, with cash prizes for the overall winners and medals for age group winners. Great crowd to cheer you on! www.seacavalcade.ca/events/mile.htm
