July 15, 2018: The Bricker 8k, Sechelt

Brewery Run Series

Final event of the 2018 Sunshine Coast Brewery Run Series. 8.4k loop course in West Sechelt, utilizing Mason Road and 2km of trails adjacent to Kinnikinnick Park. Every entry includes 1 complimentary drink ticket! Draw prizes and refreshments. Grand draw for a pair of shoes, do at least 3 Brewery Series to be eligible. Details at

July 28, 2018: Sea Cavalcade Mile, Gibsons

Sea Cavalcade Mile

16th annual Sea Cav Mile. Fast net downhill course to start the Sea Cavalcade parade, with cash prizes for the overall winners and medals for age group winners. Great crowd to cheer you on!

August 12, 2018: Four Lakes 10k + 3k Family Fun Run/Walk, Garden Bay

Four Lakes 10k

A scenic summer 10k run in Garden Bay from Katherine Lake to Hotel Lake and back, passing Garden Bay Lake and Mixal Lake along the way. The 3k Fun Run/Walk includes 2 of the lakes and is perfect for families. Campsite and beach at the start/finish. Custom designed age group medals, home baked goodies, draw prizes.

August 26, 2018: Run the Rock Marathon, Half & 8k, Texada Island

Run the Rock Marathon and Half, Texada Island

Eighth Annual Marathon, Half and 8k on idyllic Texada Island. Called the toughest marathon in Canada — come decide for yourself. Single loop course (marathon) with the half marathon using the second (easier) half of the route. Unique finisher medals made of local stone. 8k course is easy and fast with the first half being mostly downhill.

October 1, 2017: Halfmoon Bay Fire Department 10k

Halfmoon Bay Fire Dept 10k

'Run until it burns' — it's back! SCA is again helping put on this fundraiser for the HMB Volunteer Fire Department, run from the Welcome Woods fire hall to the hall by the General Store. Whether you are an experienced runner or just starting to get in shape, it's a great event for the whole family.

October 8, 2017: Loon Lake Race 13k/7k

Loon Lake Run

A beautiful trail run in Powell River, on a dead flat 13 kilometre wheelchair accessible trail around the very edge of the lake. It starts and finishes at a fully serviced campground with a full-time caretaker. Where else in coastal BC can you run on 13 kilometres of wide manicured trail around a lake without even a bump? For those wanting to run a shorter distance, there is the Anthony Island 7k — an out & back utilizing the last 3.5k of the full lake trail — again, dead flat. Work up a big appetite for your Thanksgiving dinner.

December 9, 2018: Holiday Hustle 5k & 2k

Holiday Hustle 5k

Seventh year for this event with a musical and Christmas theme — at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt. Fundraiser for the high school running teams, and for the Elves Club. Run, Walk or Dance-Walk! Music, Food, Prizes and Fun for the entire family. Choose 5k or 2k; 9:30 start time.

April 7, 2019: BMO Sunshine Coast April Fool's Run, presented by Coast Cable

BMO Sunshine Coast April Fool's Run

42nd Annual! Starting at the Gibsons Community Centre, finishing at beautiful Mission Point Park in Davis Bay. Custom finisher medals; unique artisan age group awards; professional announcer, DJ, hot soup, costume contest. Event #3 of the Lifestages Lower Mainland Road Race Series. Event records 1:06:23 (Ryan Day) and 1:14:53 (Kimberley Doerksen). Free Kids' Run for age 7&U.


Past events:

Eagles 10k, Sechelt

The Eagles 10k was a flat out and back course on smooth dirt road, with beautiful views of Sechelt Inlet. There was a 3k Family Walk/Run offered as well. All proceeds went to the Chatelech XC/Track team. Great tune-up for the Fool's Run! Discontinued due to take-over of route by Gravity Park traffic.

Sechelt Canada Day Mile, Sechelt

In conjunction with the Canada Day parade and festivities, this was a one mile road race in downtown Sechelt on a flat 1.5 lap course with a built-in cheering section.

Blackberry Mile, Powell River

Taking place just before the Blackberry Festival, this was a Friday evening run followed by a great street festival. Past results & photos

Subaru Fall Tune-Up Relay / Sechelt Fall Tune-Up XC

Initially a road relay in Gibsons Landing, then a XC race for all ages on the trails and campsite roads in Porpoise Bay Provincial Park. Past results & photos
